MOSHE KORNFELD

Moshe is the founder and director of Colorado Jewish Climate Action. He first became involved in Jewish ecological work as a Teva educator in 2001. From 2005-2007, he directed the Teva Seminar on Jewish Environmental Education. Moshe is excited to be returning to this critical and sacred work after a decade in the academy.

Moshe has studied at many institutions of higher Jewish learning and holds a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the University of Michigan. He has taught courses on American Jewish life and on the intersections of religion, environmentalism, and politics at Washington University in St. Louis, CU Boulder, and the University of Denver.

Moshe also serves as the Hazzan of Congregation Rodef Shalom in Denver, CO where he lives with his wife, Rachel, and their two children.
